TriMet plans to cut bus service
The regional transit agency TriMet says its expenses are now greater than its revenues, and in addition to administrative cuts it will be reducing bus service on some lines (including 52-Farmington/185th) in November, and on more lines including Line 48 Cornell in March 2026. Service frequency will be reduced during low ridership times, the agency says.
Two levies on November 4 ballot support services we need
If you are a registered voter, you will be receiving a voter pamphlet and ballots this month for an election to be held on November 4. We encourage our readers to vote yes on both items. Because most of our area is not in a city, these countywide organizations provide us with the services we need to thrive.
