Sunday, December 6, 5-6 pm (lighting at 5:30, subject to change), Milltowner Plaza, 12535 NW Cornell

Planning is underway for the annual tree lighting event in the small plaza next to Insomnia Coffee. The Cedar Mill Business Association, Cedar Mill News, Milltowner Center, and others are sponsoring the event.

There will be music, refreshments, and a collection for coats and other winter wear for Beaverton School District’s Clothes for Kids. Bring clean gently used (new is great too, of course) children’s coats, jackets—large and extra-large sizes are especially needed. Also NEW socks and underwear in children’s and adult sizes, and hats, gloves, and other cold weather wear is needed. There will also be a QR code so you can donate money, used to purchase new socks and underwear. Start saving items now.

Final details for the event will be in the November issue. Put it on your calendar now! Parking will be available in the upper lot, the library lot, and other nearby lots-leave time to walk as it’s always limited.
