CPO News April 2026
The last community-run meeting of Community Participation Organization 1 (CPO1) on March 10 featured a forum for almost all of the candidates who will appear on your ballot in the May 19 primary. We recorded it on YouTube so you can watch before you cast your ballot.

There will be a half-hour “all CPO meeting” on April 24, 6-6:30 pm, ahead of the League of Women Voters Candidate Forum at the Public Services Building 155 N First, Hillsboro. We have not been told what that meeting will include.
A March 17 “Modernization Update” from Office of Access and Opportunity (OAO) to the Board of County Commissioners Work Session continued to focus on process with no information on how the new public engagement program will function. All we know at this time is that there will be four groups—one for each Commissioner District—and that programs will be led by county staff and focus only on county programs.
We will share the type of development news we have been including in CPO News in a Development News section, as below.
