808 Grinds moving to Peterkort
This popular restaurant has been serving Hawaiian food from the Cedar Hills center for 12 years. With the imminent redevelopment of the property, 808 has announced that they are moving to 10970 NW Barnes in the Peterkort Town Center. The new location will open in June, but they’re bringing their food truck to the center sometime in April.
You can find more information about them and see their other locations on their website, and follow them on Facebook for updates.

What’s New Furniture coming to former Miller Paint building
This locally owned furniture store will be opening their second location this spring at 1040 NW Murray, in the location last used by Miller Paint. They carry Oregon-made custom sofas and modern furniture. Learn more here and sign up for their “Cedar Mill VIP list” to get updates.
Casa Pinto Mexican grocery and deli on Murray
We’ve been watching the progress of this new business for several months, but we haven’t been able to connect with the owners. We did learn from one of the contractors working inside that it would include a deli serving ready-to-eat food in addition to grocery items. They are located between Murray and Joy in the same building as Haven Coffee.

Market of Choice Supports Local Land Trusts During Earth Month
Market of Choice is honoring Earth Month by supporting local land trusts in each community it serves. In the Portland metro area, which includes the Cedar Mill, Reed’s Crossing, West Linn and Belmont stores, customer donations and matching funds will benefit the Columbia Land Trust to help conserve and restore important natural areas.
Throughout April, customers can donate at the register and Market of Choice will contribute up to $5,000 in matching funds statewide, with each region receiving a share of the match based on the total donations raised by its local stores. That means the more donations a location collects, the more matching funds will go to the local land trust. Customers can contribute any amount, up to $249 per transaction, and 100% of the donation will go directly to conservation projects that protect local lands and waterways.

New Changes, Same Great Sunset
Your favorite Cedar Mill credit union is going through some exciting changes that we want to share with you. Last year, Sunset Science Park Federal Credit Union began planning for some much-needed changes. We started with a renovation of the inside of the credit union, including an order for additional safe deposit boxes. Then, NCUA (our federal governing body) approved a name change to drop Science Park from our name. As we are no longer on Science Park Drive, it seemed the shorter name better reflected who we are becoming. If you’ve ever had an email address that ended in an acronym of letters, you know the challenge of trying to spell s-s-p-f-c-u over the phone!
Along with our name change comes a whole new rebranding. New logo, new tagline and new website. The website is up and running with some slick new upgrades, the logo is slowly making its way onto signage and printed materials, and the tagline “Your Possible is Here” lets you know that if you can dream it, we can help you do it. Your credit union has already evolved as one of the best in the country, ranked in the top 1% of all credit unions of any size in the country. As a member, your money could not be in better hands. As a member of our community, what are you waiting for? Your Possible is Here.
