After several years of deliberation, the County Administration Office is presenting a proposal to the Board of County Commissioners at the December 2 Work Session outlining two options: retaining and modernizing the CPO framework, or sunsetting the program and implementing a co-created district engagement model. Based on BCC feedback, a new Resolution & Order is expected to be presented to the Board at the December 16 full meeting for a vote.

CPO leaders are discouraged after years of dwindling support but hopeful that the county will find new methods of engaging the community and making use of neighbors’ input. If you would like to comment on this, you can send an email to bcc@washingtoncountyor.gov or use this form.
