cedar mill farmers market

Hey Cedar Mill! Can you believe we have already blown through spring and are sailing right into summer? The Cedar Mill Farmers Market is going strong and the produce our vendors bring in is almost spilling off their tables! As we move into a warmer season, the market will continue to fill with fun summer items like tomatoes, peaches, cucumbers, melons, green beans, and more! You won’t want to miss out on these delectable farm fresh finds!

If you need to come taste the products yourself, and you’re stumped for delicious recipe ideas, fear not! Once a month our market chef will provide you with a seasonal recipe for you to taste and enjoy, while you peruse the market! If you want more than a taste, visit one of our ready-to-eat food vendors.

Every Saturday we’ll also have a new musician to concoct a melodic soundtrack for your market stroll. Don’t forget about our Power of Produce Kids Booth, which has a fun produce related activity for children aged 3-11, every week! So come down to the market, get yourself a snack, enjoy a farm activity with your family, and dance along to the market soundscape!

We take SNAP/EBT at the market and with our Double Up Food Bucks program we can match up to $20 a day of SNAP currency! Read more at our website: Double Up Food Bucks.

We cannot run the market alone. We would be thrilled if you came to volunteer with us! Fill out the volunteering form at our website: CMFM Volunteer.

Our Cedar Mill community, partners in our success, contributes by both donating generously and shopping with us regularly. For our part, we aim to provide the neighborhood and beyond with items of high quality, in good condition and for excellent value. Increasingly, the only way to afford well-made merchandise is to buy it second-hand, and we want to be your local resource for the items you need and want.

Our success means more selection for you every time you shop with us. We restock constantly, all day, every day, so that no matter when you shop with us, you have our best. Furthermore, our daily mark-downs, weekly dot sales and quarterly store-wide sales mean that something is always on sale, discounted from our already low prices.

So always shop us first—we just might have what you need, and of better quality and less expensive than anywhere else! Thank you for your support. All proceeds from your purchases made at Second Edition Resale support Cedar Mill and Bethany Community Libraries. Donations accepted during business hours.

Follow @SecondEditionResale on Facebook or Instagram to see the newest items and keep up with promotions and sales. Visit us and learn more at Second Edition Resale.

We are living in an age now where everybody wants our personal information and as AI continues to innovate and expand it allows scammers to develop new varieties of fraud. The most common scams we’re seeing at Sunset Credit Union currently are known as the “impersonation scams.” Bad actors call or text credit union members asking to verify large purchases on a credit card or bank account. Calls and texts are made to sound like they are coming from a financial institution or credit card company and are asking to click a link or give up account information to verify transactions. The calls or texts do not actually come from your financial institution or credit card company and if you click a link in a fraudulent text or message you could be downloading malware to your device or going to a site that looks real but actually gives your account information straight to the scammers. Here’s the rub: we’ve all signed up for text or email alerts to keep our accounts safe and now scammers are creating phony emails and text alerts to look almost exactly like ones you receive from your bank or credit card company.

How can you tell the difference? Look for the following red flags to determine if your message could be a scam: Urgent action required or secrecy-Act now!; Warnings that your account is “locked” or “frozen”; Asking to verify a large purchase by calling a number or returning a text.

Remember, banks or credit unions will not ask you for your password, PIN or account numbers. If someone is trying to get you to give them that information, it is a scam no matter what they say. The best way to protect yourself is to call the company directly using the number listed on their official website or the back of your credit card. Ask them to go through your recent transactions. Purchase only from company websites that you can access through an internet search you initiated, not through an ad on a social media platform or email. If you think you are speaking to a scammer, it is not bad manners to hang up on them, it’s good protection. Most of all, in the fast-paced world we live in now, remember that nothing is so urgent you can’t hang up the phone and take a minute to think about what you are doing. If you have more specific questions about how to protect yourself, visit sunsetcu.com.
