Winning young violinist

YoungArts announced that Kaylee Nah, a 16-year-old junior at Sunset High School, has been selected as a 2026 YoungArts award winner in Classical Music/Violin. Nah joins hundreds of the nation’s most accomplished young visual, literary, and performing artists from 39 states and the District of Columbia. The YoungArts Award is the only award in the nation that recognizes exceptional young talent across artistic disciplines and affirms their pursuit of a professional life in the arts. Recipients become part of a lifelong community of peers and mentors, with access to critical resources that help sustain their creative practices throughout their careers.
Nah has served as concertmaster of Portland Youth Philharmonic, Oregon Music Education Association All-State Symphony, and World Youth Symphony orchestras. She won first place in numerous competitions and was selected to solo with orchestras such as the Eugene Symphony, Amadeus Chamber Orchestra, and Camerata PYP. Beyond her solo and orchestral work, Kaylee is an active chamber musician and works to spread the love of music around her community. She serves as Musical Director of Project Prelude. She is also the Co-Artistic Director of Music4Harmony and Co-founder of Euphonos Ensemble.
