CPO 1 January meeting: Meet our State Representative
Tuesday, January 13, 7 pm online via zoom

Mari Watanabe is the Representative for House District 34 in the Oregon State Legislature. She will join us to talk about her priorities and share reflections on the 2025 session and look forward to the 2026 “short session” that will begin in February. Bring your questions about state government and how the legislature is working for us. We also hope to provide information about the changes to the CPO program that are underway. We intend to meet in February and March and then the program as we know it will end. (see separate article here).
As usual, we will also hear from some of our service providers including the Sheriff’s Office, park district, and others. We encourage CPO 1 residents to share their concerns about safety, development, and other quality-of-life issues that CPO 1 can help with. CPO 1 is the Community Participation Organization that serves people who live in Cedar Mill, Cedar Hills and Bonny Slope, but our meetings are open to everyone.
If you can’t attend our meetings, they are recorded and available on the CPO 1 YouTube channel for viewing at your convenience. Visit our YouTube channel and subscribe! The CPO 1 Facebook Group is a good place to discuss current issues and get timely updates.

70-unit Middle Housing cottage clusters on Pioneer Road
Located on the north side of Pioneer Road and the west side of NW 150th Avenue, the development review was approved with conditions on December 11 for this 5.7 acre site. It includes a wetland and CPO 7 plans to appeal the decision because they don’t believe that the county followed its own rules for Significant Natural Resource protection.
Updates may be available soon on the CPO 7 Facebook page, and questions may be emailed to cpo7leaders@gmail.com
