Carts at Xplore, 16365 NW Twin Oaks Dr., open 10 am-8 pm

A great selection of food carts is now open daily on a lot near Cornell Road and Bethany Boulevard. It’s located in a parking lot off Twin Oaks, just west of Bethany Court and south of Cornell. It’s behind the Xplore indoor play center. If you love to sample a variety of ethnic and American cuisine, it’s worth finding!

Here’s a list of the carts we found the day we visited. There are a total of 14 open now, and Nick, the manager, says he still has openings for three more.

Coastal Vibes Fish & Chowder Co.; Shawarma Express; Winner Javanese; Chin’s BBQ; Pacific Blends Hawaiian BBQ’ Singhe is King Smashburgers; Chopstix Grill Vietnamese Streetfood; Hibachi; Dhaba Indian Kitchen; Fat Monkey Schnitzel; and East Coast Eddies Philly Cheesesteak.

Most of them are open from late morning through evening, so it’s an option for dinner as well as lunch. Most of the carts have online ordering through their own portals, but you’ll need to visit to get that information as there isn’t a central site yet. Nick says it’s busy all day because there are many offices and residential areas nearby. There’s parking in the lot that leads off Twin Oaks.

There are plenty of tables and benches throughout the cart pod area, and indoor seating is available inside the play center from 10 am-8 pm. Future plans include an indoor bar with 30 taps and an outdoor beer cart.

Management provides water, sewer, electric, gas, and garbage service to the carts. Nick and his team began permitting for the project in 2024, and it just opened in February. You can learn more and find out about specials and events on their Instagram: @xplorepdx.
