Cedar Mill Little League wins big!
In early July, two CMLL All Star teams won the District Championship, and the 11-year-olds went on to win the state championship in their division. The 10-year-olds came in second.

Board member Holly Finkle said, “Both the coaches and the Cedar Mill Little League Board of Directors have worked hard over the years to build a league where all kids can thrive—whether they’re picking up a baseball for the first time or seeking a more competitive playing experience. It truly takes a community effort, and we are so proud of the progress we have made on all fronts. Our league and coaches are entirely volunteers and we are so thankful for everyone who contributes to make it a success.”
“Many of the boys have been playing in CMLL since T Ball or in the league for many years, we only had one kid on each team that was new to CMLL this year. In order for a player to be eligible for the All Star team, they must participate in the CMLL spring season of baseball. They submit their name to go on a ballot. Every player in their division gets to vote as do parents. Players are selected by their peers, then by coaches.
“As far as practice goes, once the regular season ended, each All Star team practiced a significant amount of time—in the month of June, both teams practiced six days a week. Sunset High School was kind enough to let us use their facilities for batting practice on multiple occasions. Once district tournaments were won, the teams continued practicing in anticipation for the state tournament.
Registration for fall is now closed, but registration for the spring season will open in December. People can register via the website at cedarmillbaseball.org/. They can also follow us on Facebook or IG.
