CPO 1 meeting: Highway 217 update; Barnes Rd. proposed apartments
Tuesday, June 10, 7-9 pm, in person at The Opal Apartments, 12691 NW Dogwood, and virtually online via zoom
Community Participation Organization 1 (CPO 1) represents those who work and live in the communities of Cedar Mill, Cedar Hills, and Bonny Slope. The focus is on land use but we host programs affecting our quality of life as well. After hearing news from our service providers (Sheriff, Parks, Fire etc.) we’ll have a presentation from Oregon Department of Transportation on the Highway 217 Auxiliary Lanes project with a preview of summer construction. We’ll then have a brief presentation on a proposed partition for a lot at 9340 SW Barnes. Then we’ll learn about a proposed 55-unit apartment complex at the corner of Barnes Road and Valeria View called West Village.
The meeting will be hybrid—online via Zoom and in-person at the Opal Apartments at the corner of Saltzman and Dogwood. Each meeting also provides for time for community members to share information and ask questions about local topics— “It’s Your CPO!” Meetings are open to everyone!
If you can’t attend our meetings, they are recorded and available on the CPO 1 YouTube channel for viewing at your convenience. Visit our YouTube channel and subscribe! The CPO 1 Facebook Group is a good place to discuss current issues and get timely updates.
