June 2026 New Business News
Here are a few of the new businesses that have opened or are coming soon to Cedar Mill.

Kove Island Comfort Kitchen
811 NW Murray (next to Plaid Pantry), daily 11 am-7 pm
Find a delicious assortment of Hawaiian dishes, some you may not see in other places. The full menu is on their website. Kalbi Ribs is one of their most popular dishes. They feature several kinds of poke available as a plate with sides. For sensitive diners, they have many gluten-free dishes, and even a vegetarian “plate lunch.” They use gluten-free tamari in their sauces and seasoning.

They opened on March 31, in the former location of Shaka Bra. They remodeled the order station and dining area, but the kitchen needed very little work. The dining area is small, with mostly tables for two. They may add outdoor seating later in the summer.

Owner Spencer Piler has a permanent food truck, Let’s Roll PDX, in the Breakside Brewery pod in Beaverton, and mobile food trucks. This is his first bricks-and-mortar location, but he and his management staff have many years in the business.
They can provide catering with several combinations or build your own menu. You can order takeout from the website or by calling or texting at 503-936-0357. Delivery is available from DoorDash or GrubHub. In addition to the website, you can find more photos and information on Facebook, Instagram, or Google Maps.
808 Grinds update
The new space in the Peterkort Towne Center should be open sometime this summer. You can see videos of the progress on their Facebook page. In the meantime, visit their food truck in the center, next to the Starbucks.

Casa Pinto
806 NW Murray, next to Haven Coffee
This Mexican & Latin store should be open very soon, offering groceries, fresh produce, ready-to-eat food, a bakery, and more.
Café Yumm

12505 NW Cornell, in the Milltowner Center next to Insomia
Still making progress on the latest location for this northwest chain, we don’t know the exact opening date, but likely sometime this summer. They are famous for their bowls and Yumm sauce. You can learn more about what they will offer on the website.
What’s New Furniture
1040 NW Murray Blvd.
Another store where the opening date is uncertain—we are looking forward to visiting this new location for the Portland company featuring Oregon-made custom sofas from Stanton & Stylus, modern furniture from Luonto & Four Hands, and their popular consignment collection. If you just can’t wait, you can browse the collection and even purchase furniture online. Follow them on Instagram and Facebook for renovation updates and the official opening date.
