Featured 2D Artist: Vicki Szukalla, “I am a life-long maker and creative, drawn to the process of using my hands and imagination to transform raw materials into something beautiful and meaningful to me. My creative pursuits started as a child and have included jewelry making, pottery, floral design and painting using a variety of media. In all of my work, I hope to capture the essence of the subject while exploring color and the effects of light.”

Featured 3D Artist: Yulia Goldberg, “Sheep wool is amazing material! It is like clay—you could create everything from it—clothes, shoes, jewelry, bags, sculptures, rugs, light objects! Northern people are still living in special houses named yurts, made of wool! My felted pieces are beautiful to look at, comfortable to wear and fun to create.”

August Big and Bold: Leah Jay, “Aria,” 24″x 24″ acrylic. “Over the past few years, I have been developing a series of round artworks, about the size of a teacup, consisting of mostly flowing lines of ink. Taking the small drawing from inches to feet was a technical challenge… and took two weeks to fully render. The light tones and directional lines suggest flight, travel, and air….and express the themes of [a friend’s] music.”

All Ages

Come and get your hands dirty! Clay and all supplies provided. Ongoing drop-in ceramics workshop. Instructor available for questions and assistance. No-pressure environment for all ages.
